This week we have been lucky enough to have 2 visitors.
Our first was a visit from Howard Carter- the Archeologist who found Tutankhamun's tomb! We spent the morning finding out about how the tomb was discovered and the treasures that were found inside. We heard about the myth of the curse and how all the items were documented.
We put our decoding skills to the test to decipher a hieroglyphic message, wrote our name in hieroglyphics and answered a quiz about how the Egyptians lived.
We also spent some time as archaeologists. We carefully dug up Egyptian artifacts and then documented them which made us 'experts' on the items. We then shared this new information with the rest of our class.
Our second visitor of the week was Alex from the Coast Path Project. We used maps to plan our route around Noss Mayo and then estimated how long it would take us to walk this distance. We think we will be walking about 3 miles next Tuesday which we are all looking forward to.
We made these lovely Egyptian biscuits during Forest School this week.
