A week in our class

This week we played tag rugby. We practised our passing skills and learnt how to dodge defenders. We did a reading comprehension about the D-Day landings. We didn't know a lot about it at first but now we know about the allied troops and what allied means.

We started looking at volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. During Forest School, we made mini Earths out of clay, folded paper to make volcanoes, made a flip book of the layers of the Earth and we ate world cookies.

In maths, we have been thinking about time. It is a tricky subject but we are getting the hang of it.

We finished reading the Kapok tree and started writing our own dilemma stories based on our own trees and characters. We had to include persuasive language and lots of description.
