Admissions

If you are interested in finding out about a place for your child please get in touch. We can arrange individual visits to the school on request.  We have spaces in several year groups and are always pleased to show prospective new parents around our school. 

Our admission policies can be found at the bottom of this page, the date refers to the year in which a school place is applied for.

We admit children who live in both Devon and Plymouth local authorities as we are on the edge of the local authority boundaries; families apply through Devon County Council, regardless of their home address.  The admissions team can be found here. 

If you wish to apply for a place at Sparkwell as an in-year admission (that is, not the start of Reception year) you need to complete a form with Devon admissions, not direct to the school. 

Parents of children leaving us at the end of Year 6 choose a range of secondary schools, including Grammar Schools and schools in Plympton, Ivybridge and further afield. We are listed as a feeder Primary school for Ivybridge Community College and Plympton Academy, but all our children in the last few years have received their first choice place at a range of local schools.
