Sparkwell All saints Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with the parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare. We work closely with the Devon Children Safeguarding Boards  and Plymouth Safeguarding Board to ensure our children are safe from abuse, harm or child sexual exploitation. We are an Operation Encompass School that supports children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Our senior designated teacher with responsibility for safeguarding in school is Francesca McLoughlin, the 2nd person responsible is Stephen Crawford. You may speak to us if you have any concerns about your own, or another, child.

If you want to know more about how to keep your child safe online a great site to visit is: https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/

A great programme to help you talk about difficult issues with your child is the NSPCC Pants Campaign.

The NSPCC website is a useful first place to visit if you have any questions or concerns about keeping children safe, this includes online safety, sexting and child sexual exploitation. This website also has a lot of guidance on child sexual exploitation, including a helpline.
