Writing without a pencil!

posted 11 Mar 2017, 05:46 by Jenny Sparkes
The children made or drew a character when they came into school which was then photocopied and laminated. They tied on a string and got ready to take it on an adventure.
As we walked through the woods the children played with their characters and talked about all of the different actions (verbs) and describing words (adjectives) that their character might experience. An adult encouraged them to expand their ideas and think about vocabulary choices.
