This week the children have enjoy sharing the book Harold and the Purple Crayon about a little boy who draws his own adventure. The children have made story maps, their own purple crayons, purple pictures and we took Harold to the zoo with us on Wednesday to introduce him to lots of animals and take photographs using iPads. The children were thrilled to meet the wayward Lynx for the first time and enjoyed showing Harold the Jaguar, Tiger, Lion, wolf, deer and goats!
When we got back to school we innovated the story to make our own character to go on an adventure with a different colour crayon.

This weekend the children will be bringing home their Home Learning Books and new spelling cards. These are the spellings that the children need to know to help them with their writing and the children should practise them regularly ensure that they become confident at spelling and therefore writing. Please ensure that their card is kept in their little plastic wallet because we will use them during the week to help the children to increase their confidence.
Spellings will be checked on a Thursday. Thank you to those children that completed their maths Home Learning.

This week you should have had a letter about our upcoming trip. If you haven't seen it please ask myself or Gemma for a copy.
