Smell this...

What another lovely week in Hedgehogs class.
We've been thinking about our sense of smell this week and had great fun being "blindfolded" by a big hat and trying to work out what different smells were! We've also been making our own noses for our 'senses' display and tried to look very carefully at the colour of our nose and match that by mixing various tones together. We have explored some robot bees this week and tried to get them to 'smell' their way to a flower as well! So many smelly things to think about!
We've also enjoyed our 3rd philosophy problem this week, it was quite popular - we were fishing for fish and they started to run out! We had lots of discussion about what we should do so we still had money for our families but didn't remove the fish population!
All the while we have continued our phonics and writing learning as well as our maths challenges where we looked a lot at repeating patterns, something we'll continue to think about next week.

Next week we are also going to look at the last of the senses we are considering; taste.
